In 1821, Mr Joaquim Cordomí Barnadés, set up an establishment in Salmerón Street (today known as Gran de Gràcia) in Gracia, a popular neighbourhood in Barcelona , with a sign that said "Stonemade Chocolate" as that was the way it was manufactured, with "matete" and a granite roll (at present, these tools are on display at the factory's entrance).

At the early age of 16, Joaquim Cordomí Vilanova took charge of the family business due to personal circumstances and, with his cousin's help, he founded the firm Rius and Cordomí which lasted more than 40 years.

After, he bought the firm Bonbons Blasi: chocolate and bonbons manufacturing merged. The factory was located in 1, Peu de la Creu Street in Barcelona and was managed by his son, Mr Joaquim Cordomí Guinart up until his retirement in 1994.

t present, a 4th generation is running the company and a long term tradition established by the "Joaquim's" has been enhanced: Javier Cordomí Font has opened with his wife's help, a little shop, museum and factory in 26 Alfons XII street in Barcelona where bonbons and chocolate are handmade.

Bonbons are manufactured following original eighty-year-old recipes; always maintaining the gram thousandth in each of them.

Over time, Bombons Blasi have created more than 20 different types of bonbons always keeping to the tradition of choosing first class natural raw materials. A brand-new bonbon is always named by the first person who tastes it

Our customers can find:
